Honoring our Children
Children’s faith formation activities at Allin Church emphasize wonder, play, story-telling, and human connection as pathways for meeting and learning about God. We also think children and youth should be seen and heard as honored parts of our church community! Jesus loves us all: young and old, still and wiggly, loud and quiet.
Regular Offerings
Allin Church offers a church school program for children ages 3 to 12 from September to mid-June. Children are part of the general church service for the first 15 minutes of worship, then invited to join our children’s ministry director and church school volunteers in mixed-age classrooms. Our church school follows the Godly Play curriculum, which is an imaginative, creative approach to Christian faith formation that emphasizes wonder, discovery, creative expression, and play. It's been around for over 40 years and is used in all 50 states and several countries! For more information on Godly Play, click here.

Babies and Toddlers
Babies and toddlers are welcome at Allin Church! Children under 3 have several options: we have a childcare provider available to supervise babies and toddlers in our quiet children’s corner just outside the worship service; babies and toddlers are also welcome to join us at church school; or we have toys and activities available for any child who wishes to stay with their parent in the church service. Of course, parents are welcome to flow freely between the church service and our children’s corner, as needed.
The PrayGround
Children also have access to the “PrayGround,” a comfortable kid-friendly space inside our worship space. The PrayGround includes quiet building toys, art materials, books, and activity sheets. Children are welcome to flow between the PrayGround and their seat in the pew.

Messy Fridays
Messy Fridays at Allin Church are relaxed, monthly get-togethers on Friday evenings open to all ages. We share a meal, explore the stories and themes of the Christian faith, make crafts, and play games. Messy Fridays are designed to be inclusive, fun, and, yes, a bit messy!
Messy Fridays are typically held the second Friday of the month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, though please check our calendar or call the office to confirm as we sometimes switch dates or times to accommodate a holiday. Attendees are invited to bring a side or dessert to share. Allin Congregational Church is a member of Messy Church USA.
